Vitug will present his engaging and insightful approach to financial education. Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with enriching activities. Copies of Happy Money Happy Life will be available for purchase. Free and open to the public, community members interested in attending are encouraged to reserve a spot at the link below.

Jason Vitug is an acclaimed author, financial wellness advocate, and a driving force behind the Happy Money movement. Through his writings, speaking engagements, and community initiatives, Vitug empowers individuals to make mindful financial decisions that align with their life goals and values.

Vitug’s visit to Wisconsin is part of his “I want to CU Happy Tour”—an epic nationwide journey with the goal of starting a national conversation on financial well-being. The tour is supported by credit unions across the country, helping Vitug connect with local communities in all 50 states.

Released in early 2023, Happy Money Happy Life breaks down Vitug’s multidimensional approach to financial independence. Throughout the book, he emphasizes how eight dimensions of wellness— mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, occupational, environmental and financial— can tranform a person’s relationship with money for a happier, healthier life.

Lemonade Day

The City of Fort Atkinson will once again be painted in yellow with lemonade stands on May 6, 2023 for Lemonade Day! Originally debuting in 2019, this is the third year that the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with FCCU and BASE to bring this free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches kids how to start, own, and operate their very own business– a lemonade stand!

Students throughout the community are welcome to participate. Each child that registers will receive a free backpack with an Entrepreneur Workbook that teaches them the valuable lessons of Lemonade Day including how to set a goal, make a plan, work the plan, and achieve their dreams.

Once a youth pays back their investor(s), they keep all of the money they earn and are encouraged to spend some, save some, and share some of their profit.

Anyone and everyone can be involved in Lemonade Day! Young entrepreneurs with lemonade stands need mentors, investors, business partners, great locations, and customers! Sponsors and volunteers are also needed to make Lemonade Day a success. Students, volunteers, and sponsors can register online!

As next year's event draws closer, we will have registration information available.
