Why can't I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

 

  • Sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes - information about your credit worthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

 

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial or nonfinancial companies.

 

  • Fort Community Credit Union has no affiliates.

Non-affiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial or nonfinancial companies.

 

  • Fort Community Credit Union does not share with non- affiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

 

  • Our joint marketing partners include financial service providers.

 

Other Important Information

Location information: If you use our mobile banking application on your mobile device and opt-in to allow us to use your location data, we may collect and process information about your actual location. We use this opt-in data to provide relevant messaging, even when the app is not open on your screen, to tailor our products and services for you, and to occasionally offer you promotions of interest. You can enable or disable access to this information at any time through your device settings.
