Apple has strong privacy policies in place to safeguard your personal information. Apple does not store any personal, transactional, or payment information on the device or its servers.

Apple Pay stores only the digital card number (token) provided by the card issuer's payment network, which can only be converted back to a card number when it reaches the payment network. For the updated security and privacy policy, please visit the Apple Pay security and privacy overview.

Security

With Google Pay, your actual debit and credit card numbers are never transmitted or shared with merchants. Payment is private — the cashier never sees your name, card numbers or security code.

Instead of using your actual card numbers for purchases, a unique “device account number” is assigned, encrypted, and securely stored. When you make a purchase, the device account number, along with a transaction-specific security code is used to process your payment.
