FCCU Team Spotlight: Betty Mattrisch

Can you introduce yourself and tell us how long you’ve been at FCCU?

Hi! I’m Betty Mattrisch, and I have worked at FCCU for 20 years.

What is your primary role at FCCU?

I am the Indirect Loan Processor here at FCCU. As an Indirect Loan Processor I assist in processing loan applications that come in from car dealerships and ensuring everything on the loan is correct for our borrowers.

What does an average day at FCCU look like for you?

Every day is a little bit different. Most days I come in and finish processing any loans that weren’t completed the day before. Throughout the day I work on the incoming loans from the car dealerships, and any other tasks that come up, such as verifying insurance with our borrowers, processing mail, and other miscellaneous tasks.

What is your favorite part about your job and why?

Learning new things!  Everyday is a new adventure.

How many local dealerships does FCCU partner with?

We have about 30 dealerships currently and are continuing to grow!

What are the benefits of financing through the dealerships with FCCU?

The process is convenient and quick! The members can go to the dealership and have the loan done from start to finish and usually drive their vehicle home that day, all while still financing through FCCU.

Is it difficult to finance through the dealer with FCCU?

Not at all! Just let the dealership know that you want to finance through FCCU and they will get the process rolling from there.

Outside of work, what are some of your favorite things to do and why?

I like to go camping, spend time with my family and watch a lot of softball in the summer. Both my husband and my youngest daughter play, go team go!  Family is everything to me!

What is your favorite volunteering opportunity you’ve done with FCCU and why?

My favorite volunteering opportunity is the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament. It is generally a yearly event at the Fort Atkinson High School.  Athletes come from various cities to play and they are always positive and uplifting, which makes for an enjoyable day!

If you won the lottery, what would you do and why?

First, I would take care of my family. I would also make a donation to the Children’s Hospital because my oldest daughter had open heart surgery there when she was 1 year old. My favorite would be that I could buy an Island!

Are there any places to which you would like to travel and why?

Hawaii! My mother always wanted to go there and is now unable due to her health. I would love to do it for her!

What is one FCCU service that you wish more people knew about and why?

Our Financial Advisors & Financial Counseling programs. There are so many people, young and old, who need some advice regarding money. Everyone should be able to get that help without being ashamed.

What does the Credit Union difference mean to you?

Our members! They are the most important part of the Credit Union. I love being able to help and watch them grow into a better financial position. We are very involved in the communities we serve. I love hearing good things from our members when they see us out in the community!
